SOME GOOD NEWS!
With the world seemingly on fire, it’s always nice to have some good news. Actually, great news, at least for those of us who are or soon will be age 65+. Because RFK, Jr., is no longer in charge of our Medicare program. Nor is Dr. Oz.
This wasn’t Trump’s call, btw. He still doesn’t care about any of our health. It was his Chief of Staff Susie Wiley’s.
The new guy in charge is, get this, actually qualified, competent, and believes in vaccines. His name is Chris Klomp and he will oversee all operations at the Department of Health and Human Services as its chief counselor. Everyone not named Kennedy, all 65,000 personnel at HHS, will now answer to Klonk.
I’m still not sold on him being apolitical about Medicare. His track record includes working at Bain Capital and at least briefly with Jared. But at least he has an MBA from Stanford and majored for part of his time during undergrad in microbiology and biochemistry before switching to economics. And he isn’t a wackadoodle like RFK or a pseudoscience TV personality like Dr. Oz.
So, he has to be an upgrade.
